10.26.14 – the 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Howdy!

Halloween is coming up this week, and I want to remind các em that in the midst of all the ghouls, costumes, and candy that Halloween is “All Hallows’ Eve,” in reference to the hallowed ones in heaven whom we celebrate the next day. We won’t go too deep into theology for Halloween since we’ll be doing a little activity on All Saints’ Day next week, but a sweet reminder about our faith during Halloween is good, I think. And fun~ Also, these clever costume ideas needed to be shared somehow!

8:00 – 8:10 — Morning Prayers – Tr. MK
8:10 – 8:25 — Halloween Activity  – Tr. TN
8:25 – 8:40 — “Jesus’ Love is Sweet and Wonderful” – Tr. MK
8:40 – 8:50 — Break
8:50 – 9:10 — Learn circle formation – Tr. QT/C
9:10 – 9:30 — Games, Songs, and Review
9:30 – 9:45 — Gospel Reading and Closing Prayers, Prep for Mass  – Tr. MK

And we have practice again today for văn nghệ (Nov 9)!

Peace out, everyone!

Readings for this week
Readings for All Saints’ Day (Nov 1) — Holy Day of Obligation

This feast celebrates all the unknown saints who are now in Heaven. Sanctity is within everyone’s reach; through the Communion of Saints each part of the Mystical Body of Christ helps every other to grow in holiness.
(Daily Roman Missal, published by Rev. James Socias for Midwest Theological Forum, Illinois, 7th Edition)
